Star Wars Art: Boba Fett Escapes The Rancors

Boba Fett Escapes The Rancor by James Bousema

Boba Fett escaping a rancor. Art by James Bousema. You can follow him on Facebook, Twitter, and Artstation.

Finally got around to finishing this one. Boba is just one of those amazing pieces of character design that I couldn’t wait to take a stab at. So, I figured, why not pit him against two Rancors. You know, to at least give one of them a fighting chance.

Star Wars Art: “Lunchtime”

"Lunchtime" by Adam Vehige

Rancor (with Leia on his back) about to munch on Jabba the Hutt. Art by Adam Vehige. You can follow him on Facebook. This piece was created for the ILM Art Department Star Wars Challenge:

My new story moment was:  Leia has come to Jabba’s palace to rescue Han. When negotiations fail she finds herself face to face with the Rancor. After evading his moves she manages to clime up his back. She places her hand upon the Rancor’s head while holding on she uses the force to take control of the Rancor’s mind. The Rancor destroys the cage leading to Jabba’s throne room and grabs him from his toppling throne. The Rancor lets out a roar at his former master and then bites his head off, throwing the body to the floor. Leia then uses the Rancor to make her escape.
